I’m still here. Some days, that has been the whole victory.

I’ve had seasons of loss and starting over when I couldn’t see far enough ahead to call it a comeback. There was no finished story to tell—just another day to face, another prayer, another small thing I could still do.

“Surviving Without Permission” is for that part of the journey.

Not the part where everyone understands. Not the moment when the pain finally makes sense. The part where you keep going without waiting for either.

My faith in Jesus doesn’t mean I’ve always felt strong. It means I have somewhere to turn when I’m not. This isn’t a declaration that I need nobody. Needing help and choosing to keep going belong in the same story.

The red lettering across the back is bold. What it stands for can be quiet: getting out of bed, accepting a hand, making something, trying again.

Maybe you’re still in the middle of it, too. You don’t need a polished testimony before your story matters. You can be honest about what hurts and still make room for what comes next.

I’m not wearing this as proof that nothing can break me. It’s a reminder that I don’t need everyone’s approval to begin again—and I don’t have to be finished healing to have a life worth showing up for.
